WHY 416???

So what does 416 stand for anyway??
The name The 416 Fellowship reflects both where we are and what we believe.
A Local Heart for Toronto
The number 416 is the historic area code for the city of Toronto. It represents the heart of the Greater Toronto Area and the diverse communities that make up our region.
Our ministry was born with a desire to see people across Toronto and the GTA encounter the love of Jesus Christ through authentic fellowship, discipleship, and community. You’ll even notice the silhouette of Toronto’s skyline represented within our logo.
The name reminds us that God has placed us here intentionally. Our mission begins in our local communities as we seek to love our neighbours, serve our city, and make disciples who make disciples.
A Biblical Foundation
While 416 reflects our geographic location, it also carries a deeper spiritual meaning for our ministry.
The number represents five pillar scriptures from the Bible that shape our values and guide how we live as followers of Christ together.
Discover these five pillar scriptures that help to shape and guide our ministry below.
1. EPHESIAN 4:16
The church is not meant to be passive. Every believer has a role. As we serve one another with our gifts, the body of Christ grows stronger.

2. MATTHEW 4:16
Our mission is to share the light of Jesus Christ with those around us. We believe the Gospel brings hope, transformation, and new life.

3. JOHN 4:16
Everything we do flows from the love of God. Our fellowship is built on the truth that God first loved us, and we are called to love one another.

4. HEBREWS 4:16
Prayer and dependence on God are essential to our fellowship. Because of Jesus, we can come boldly before God and receive His mercy and grace.

5. TIMOTHY 4:16
We value spiritual maturity, sound teaching, and living lives that reflect Christ. Discipleship begins with faithfully walking with the Lord each day.
