About Christianity and Jesus
5. Who is Jesus?
Jesus is central to everything we believe. We teach that He is the Son of God who came to earth, lived a perfect life, died for the sins of humanity, and rose from the dead. His life, teachings, and resurrection provide a way for people to have a personal relationship with God and experience eternal life. Want to learn more about Jesus? Click here.
6. Why did Jesus die on the cross?
Jesus died to bridge the gap between humanity and God caused by sin. His sacrifice on the cross paid the penalty for our sins, offering forgiveness and reconciling us to God. We believe His death and resurrection give us the hope of eternal life and a restored relationship with God.
7. How can I know that God exists?
Opinions about God abound, but answering the question does God exist? demands more than a few seconds of attention and involves a wide range of ideas and evidence. You can know that God exists by reading His Word the Bible. You can also know God exists by observing His Creation (nature or natural things). Ultimately, what we see in human experience, science, logic, and history leads to a confident answer: yes, God exists. We encourage you to come with an open heart and explore faith in Jesus with usโask questions, participate in our discussions, and learn about the Christian faith firsthand. 8. What is the Bible, and why do Christians follow it?
The Bible is the foundational text of the Christian faith. It is considered God’s inspired Word, offering guidance on how to live, understand God’s love, and follow His will. The Bible includes historical accounts, moral teachings, and prophecies, all pointing to the person of Jesus Christ.
9. If God is loving, why is there suffering?
This is a complex question that many wrestle with. At The 416 Fellowship, we believe that while suffering exists in this world as a result of sin and due to human brokenness and free will, God is present with us in our pain. He works through difficult circumstances to bring healing, hope, and redemption, and promises an ultimate restoration of all things.
10. What do Christians believe about life after death?
Christians believe in eternal life with God after death. Jesus promised that those who believe in Him would have everlasting life, where there will be no more pain or suffering, only joy and peace in Godโs presence.
